VetBizResourceCenter warmly received by Small Business Development Centers around the country.

Distinct Studios wrapped up production on a year-long SB grant-funded project in November 2009 for the Virgnia Small Business Development Center in support of an initiative to create innovative educational outreach tools for veteran-owned small businesses.

The Distinct Studios team achievements include 17 minutes of Flash® video for 4 educational modules as well as customized programming, logo and interface design, and audio/video production for their website VETBIZresourcecenter.com, in addition to a separate video for YouTube®.

ToxMystery Makes Top 100 Best Science Sites for Kids

ToxMystery which the Distinct Studios team designed and developed for the National Libary of Medicine and continues to support, made the environmental science for kids category of the 100 best science sites list on the online nurse practitioner school website.

ToxMystery Collaterial Marketing Receives Online Rating of 5 Out of 5 from infotoday.com

The 5 out of 5 rating was based on the listed parameters for the Tox Mystery CD - Kid's Game: Finding Chemical Hazards in the Home, which included a stuffed tabby kitten mascot, given out by the National Library of Medicine (Information Today Vol. 33 No. 3 – May/June 2009)

Discover Hidden Hazards withToxMystery Exhibit at Carnegie Science Center

The Distinct Studios team partnered with the Carnegie Science Center to customize the online and CD-ROM versions of ToxMystery for a new exhibit kiosk at the Carnegie Science Center that was presented in partnership with the U.S. National Library of Medicine. Distinct Studios, Inc. Produces and Edits Marketing YouTube® Video for the Fairfax Innovation Center

Distinct Studios began offering Web 2.0 projects with the production of a marketing YouTube Video for the Fairfax Innovation Center which is a business incubation program that is a partnership between the Fairfax Economic Development Authority and George Mason University.

Services provided by Distinct Studios for the Fairfax Innovation Center YouTube® video included:

Virtual Second Life Business Incubator for the Fairfax Innovation Center Opens in Second Life®

Distinct Studios entered Second Life® with the Fairfax Innovation Center and built an experimental virtual business incubator. The incubator has been designed to allow clients to meet in the virtual space and to conduct business remotely. The goal of the incubator is to market the Fairfax Innovation Center to a younger clientele that is familar and comfortable in the environment and to also introduce the technology as a possible business tool to experienced small businss owners who are not familar with virtual worlds.

The virtual Fairfax Innovation Center has conference rooms, a virtual auditorium, a reception area, and a virtual office for visitors to tour.
